Hi,
I have trouble using wlwbackup after I reinstalled Windows XP. I've installed all the recent microsoft updates but somehow wlwbackup crashes. This is the error signature:
EventType : clr20r3 P1 : livewriterbackupwpf.exe P2 : 3.0.0.5
P3 : 4a3f8bd8 P4 : presentationframework P5 : 3.0.0.0 P6 : 4938d608
P7 : 625a P8 : e1 P9 : system.windows.markup.xamlparse
Do you have any idea what causes this?

Can you confirm you have installed .NET Framework 3.5 please. It sounds like this might not be installed.

I try to install .net 3.5 but I get a setup error after it downloaded 0 KB and tried to install, so I guess 3.5 is already installed somehow... I have Visual Studio 2008 installed, shouldn't that include the latest .net?

Do you have SP1 installed of .NET 3.5?

I just installed .net 3.5 SP1 and restarted but wlwbackup still gives an error:

You're not the only one. The only thing I can suggest now is to do a repair of WLWBackup.

I tried repairing but I still get the same error...

How about you people get rid of XP finally and move into the current world and get Windows 7. No XP is not the end all, it's x years old, get over it.

I got it to work somehow! I double clicked on my .wlwbackup file which again caused a crash of the program. But when I then started wlwbackup it worked! The only other thing which is new is that I installed DirectX August 2009 edition, but I don't think
that has anything to do with it...
